Why Earthly Bite
We selected our name because Earth is our shared home, and our mission is to coexist peacefully with all its inhabitants. Our core belief centres on crafting baking products that are both cruelty-free and sustainably plant-based.
In today's world, many of us face challenges in providing for our loved ones. That's why we specialise in creating small, bite-sized products. This approach not only makes healthy, cruelty-free food more accessible but also minimizes waste. How often have you enjoyed a cupcake only to find yourself halfway through, feeling satisfied? Consider that uneaten half, destined for the landfill along with the dollars spent on it.

Our origin story
In the memory of many, 2020 marked a pivotal shift in our world. For us, the most profound change came when we welcomed a pair of guinea pigs into our lives, rescued from neglect. Swiftly, they became as beloved as our own daughters. However, the loss of one of them a year later weighed heavily on our hearts, prompting a profound reassessment of our lives.
Our cherished furry companions sparked a realisation: if we extend love to certain animals, why do we exploit others for food? This epiphany kindled a deep respect for the vegan movement and revealed a scarcity of food options, particularly in the realm of sweets and baked goods.
After immersing ourselves in the art of vegan baking and studying patisserie, we resolved to establish a business dedicated to supporting a cruelty-free community.
As a footnote, our primary business name, PICLE, is derived from the initials of our names, with the final three letters representing the names of our beloved fur baby daughters: Cherry, Luna, and Elizabeth (affectionately known as Tiny Lizzy).
Our home kitchen
In today's challenging economic climate, many businesses find themselves struggling to survive. The complexities of securing commercial space, undertaking renovations, acquiring loans, and labouring tirelessly to repay debts can be overwhelming.
Opting for a plant-based, cruelty-free vegan bakery, we took a different route. With the support of the local government, we established our enterprise as a home-based business and successfully registered our kitchen for this purpose. This decision has enabled us to maintain low costs and allow us to dedicate our energy to crafting flavourful, innovative and quality vegan baked goods to you.
